Yes, Amazon is not only known for their books, electronics, movies and other popular home products – they have a spectacular selection of sandals and other footwear. While you might not consider Amazon as being a “first stop” for footwear, it nevertheless is an amazing resource – and their prices are generally lower than other merchant sites online even though they don’t provide “sales” in the strictest definition of the word.

Zappos is known as the most popular shoe store online, and has earned this reputation through an amazing inventory of footwear and outstanding customer service (including free shipping and free returns/exchange service). While Zappos is not known necessarily for their low prices, some good markdown prices can be found – especially when “rounding the corner” on a specific season. In other words, if you are shopping for sandals in July or August, you will likely find the best selection of sandals at discount rates.

A sub-division of the Zappos company, 6pm is one of the “wonders of online footwear.” In terms specifically of online footwear merchants, this company provides the lowest prices that we have found online. While they may not carry the exact style you are looking for at the moment, this is one of those resources that we like to check back with on a regular basis – it appears that when stock moves off of the Zappos site it moves onto 6pm, and at a much discounted rate. While 6pm does not offer free shipping, they nevertheless often have a nicely discounted shipping rate too.

We love Shoebuy! They are a direct competitor with any other online footwear merchants for selection – and in general they often provide the lowest merchant price available for a given sandal or other type of footwear. Definitely worth a check – plus they provide both free shipping and free returns service.

If you’ve ever had an internet connection, chances are very good that you are familiar with eBay.com. But – did you know that there is a special sub-site on eBay just for Fashion? It’s called the eBay Fashion Vault and while they don’t offer “sales” by the strictest definition of the word, they often are the go-to place for low prices on sandals and other footwear online. This is another site that we tend to apply the concept, “If it’s not there today – check back tomorrow.” The availability of sandals and other footwear can be quite dynamic and it’s worth coming back later if you don’t find what you need right off the bat.
